At the idyllic Lake Fiskløsningen in Vera, Værdalsbruket offers a beautiful timber cabin in a stunning mountain setting. Here, you’ll find excellent fishing opportunities and a perfect base for hiking and hunting ptarmigan, forest birds, and hare. For those seeking an extra adventure, a summit hike to Tørrgranvola is highly recommended. From the spacious veranda, you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views over Lake Fiskløsningen.
Cabin Details:
The cabin is 60 m² and was built in 2002, replacing an older structure. It features a combined kitchen and living area, two bedrooms with a total of six beds, and a loft with two mattresses. Duvets and pillows for six people are provided, but please bring your own bed linens or sleeping bag, as well as personal items like toilet paper. There is an outhouse on the property.
The cabin is equipped with a solar power system providing lighting in all rooms and gas cooking facilities. It comes with equipment for 10 people, a wood-burning stove, and a fireplace, with dry birch firewood available in the outhouse. Water is sourced from Fiskløsningen. Mobile coverage at the cabin is good, and excellent on the hill north of the cabin.
Boat Included:
When you rent the cabin, a boat on Lake Fiskløsningen is included. The boathouse contains life vests for four adults, but please bring child-sized vests if needed. The area offers several excellent fishing lakes and is also a great starting point for hunting trips.
Directions:
To reach the parking area, follow Fv 757 / 160 to Vera, about a one-hour drive from Verdal center. From the parking lot at Stortjønna or Djupdalen in Vera, it’s approximately a 1.5-hour hike (about 5 km) to the cabin.
